So many things to tell

Oh, my beautiful life!
I have so much to write about!
1st-Jackson had his first snow day last week! he was so excited.  He got to go to Cousin Alexandra's house for the day.  They had a great time.  TJ picked him up around noon, and then he shoveled some snow (by choice).

2nd-Jackson had his first school Valentine's party. Also very fun.  Nana Connie got to attend.

3rd-Jackson had his first basketball game.  He loves it. As I have mentioned before, Jax loves to play basketball.  He can not make it a day without it.  Inside, Outside, it doesn't really matter.

4th-Cole and Jackson collided one evening this week, and Cole would not walk afterward!  TJ called me at work, concerned because everytime he would set Cole down, he would not put any weight on his legs.  I freaked out, of course, worried he may have hurt his back, or broken a bone in his lower leg.  TJ bribed Cole into walking a little ways, and then gave him ibuprofen, and put him to bed.  The next morning, he had a nasty bruise on his inner thigh close to his knee.

5th-Cole does not like to stop at stoplights.  The minute we stop, he says, "Go!"  He does not want to wait. The same goes for stop signs, and anytime you have to stop behind another vehicle.  A patient one, he is!

6th-Cole has started giving the most adorable kisses. he used to just kiss you, but now he says a big loud "MMMAAA" when he kisses. SO adorable.

7th-Cole and Jackson love to give each other hugs at bedtime.  Cole will not go to bed without first hugging Jackson.  They may fight sometimes, but I love to see how they are becoming such great playmates, and how much they like to be around each other.  Cole thinks Jax hung the moon, and Jax is always surprising me by doing something sweet for Cole or comforting him when he is hurt or upset.

8th-Cole has had a few playdates recently.  It is a lot of fun (for him and me). He gets to play with kids his age, and I get to sit and chat with the Moms while the little people play.  We will definitely be planning more of these.

9th-Friday was Family Day at Jackson's school.  Grandma and Grandpa Harper met him for lunch, and then got to go back to see his classroom.  I recently found out Jackson's kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Houser, will be retiring after this year.  I am devastated, absolutely heartbroken that Cole will not get to have her as a kindergarten teacher, also.

Crazy, busy, scarring FUN!

We are just chugging along in life. The last week or so has been filled with busy fun.  Last week, we had pictures scheduled on Thursday, so Jackson decided to fall UP a set of concrete steps at Ireland's house and skin up his face. CANCEL!  Those pictures are rescheuled for this Thursday.  Jackson is still loving basketball practice and has his first game this coming Saturday.

Last weekend, TJ and I went to Columbia with Denny and Connie and Coby and Kerry to watch the Mizzou vs. Kansas game.  The boys stayed with Grandma and Grandpa. Well, tickets ended up being about $300 each, so we decided to watch the game from Shiloh's, a bar in Columbia.  It turned out great, we had great seats, and the Tigers WON! And to top the evening off, the basketball players came in after the game, and were talking to everybody and getting their pictures taken.  Jackson and TJ play basketball in the basement nearly every day, and they are alwys playing like they are Kim English and Michael Dixon (2 Mizzou players).  Well, I walked up to English and asked if he would take his picture with me and, of course, he obliged.  Jackson was so excited the next day when I showed him a picture of me and his favorite basketball player.  I also talked to Michael Dixon, who went to high school with my cousin Collin Artinger.  The only thing that could have made the evening better would have been if I had anything for them to sign for Jax.

While we were gone, the boys played at the grandparents and went to the dog show.  I think their favorite thing to do at Grandma and Grandpa's is ride the various four-wheelers, tractors, lawnmowers, etc.

Sunday night was the Super Bowl, and we went over to Denny and Connie's for a little while, then came back home-school the next day, you know.

Our big news for the week is that Cole went pee in the potty last night-YEAH, Cole!  He was naked after his bath, and wanted to sit up there, but nothing was happening, then all of a sudden he peed.  Then he kept climbing onto the toilet and squirting a little more out.  I mean, I am not getting my hopes up, but I am praying this is a sign of good things to come.  Two early potty-trained little boys.  What mother could be so lucky?

At the end of the day, I have only one thing to say about all this craziness, busyness, and fun.

I LOVE my life!!
