Baby Jax-2006 and 2007

December 30, 2006. (6 months)
Jackson,
It has been so long since I have written.
You have had so many things happen in your short little life.
Your first smile, your first Christmas, and just yesterday, on your 7-month birthday, your first tooth. You are still nursing, so we will see how long it is before you bite me.
You go to a babysitter, Amber Taylor, during the day while I am working, which is about 4 days a week.
Tomorrow is New Years' Eve-another first for you. Matt, Andrea, and Hannah Wenzel are coming over for a while. Love you Baby, Mom.

January 13, 2007. (7 months)
Jax, That is what we call you. You are such a beautiful baby. I miss you at night after you go to bed. Like you are missing from me as soon as I lay you down.
You started crawling last week on Grandma Harper's birthday, January 3. You were just a little over 7 months old. Mommy and Daddy do sign language with you so you can communicate what you want with us until you learn to talk. So far, you are signing "milk" (since about 6 months), and kind of "all done"-just recently.
You have started putting yourself to sleep for naps. You fuss for a minute or two, and then you are out. What a good baby!
You have such a happy disposition. People comment on it all the time, saying they have never seen a baby as happy as you are. You are always smiling and engaging people. You have always been a good sleeper (sleeping through the night for us since about 8 weeks). I'm so glad you're mine! Love, Mom.

October 13, 2007. (1.5 years old-almost)
Jax, you are such a delight to have as a son. Everyday I go to work (and leave my heart behind with you) knowing I will miss your first something. You are walking and talking now-like crazy. Dad and I are having so much fun with you. Your favorite thing to do is play outside, which was fine all summer, but it will be getting cold soon, so it may get harder.
You also love to read, and we read at least 4 or 5 books every night before you go to bed. Then we brush your teeth and lay you down and you head off to sleep on your own-what a big boy. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings for us. Love, Mom.
