You are such a big boy! I should write more often. Everything changes so quickly.
Daddy and I love how you come home from school with a new song almost every day. Your favorite right now is "O, The Brave Old Duke of York"...
You love to play outside and you are actually a very good "driver". You have a golf cart Mom and Dad got you for your 2nd birthday and a truck Nana and Papa Patterson got you for Christmas 2008.
You are going through an independent stage right now and want to do everything yourself-from answering the phone and buckling yourself into your high chair-to starting the car, and finding or getting whatever you are looking for by yourself.
Your favorite toys are Matchbox Cars-we play with them everyday. You also love to read books-before nap and at bedtime. You are a huge sports fan-not so much watching sports as playing them. You love to dunk the basketball, "Slam Jam, Baby", you and Dad say. You also love to golf, play baseball in the yard, and kick any ball that comes within reach of your feet.
Instead of a blankie or stuffed animal, your "lovie" is my hair. You started playing with my hair when you were very little and would be nursing. You always say, "Mommy, I want to play with your hair"-How could I turn you down?
Every night, I go into your room after you are asleep, usually right before I go to bed at about 11:00, and say to you, "I love you, little boy". No truer words have ever been spoken.
I love you, little boy. Love, Mom.
