Dance Party! January 27, 2011.

"My father didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it." -- Clarence Budington Kelland
Today, the babysitter was sick. We had no one to keep Cole, so Daddy stayed home and hung out with the boys all day.  Tonight, when I got home from work, Dad was twirling around the kitchen with Cole on his shoulder, and Jackson was dancing, too. Naturally, I joined in.  So we had a dance party in the kitchen while I made some dinner.  Cole’s laugh and Jackson’s always mischevious smile made all the troubles of the world fade away.
A little bit about Jackson:   You have got to be the cutest, sweetest, most ornery little boy I have ever known.  And I wouldn’t change a single thing.  Watching you with your little brother-so protective, or roughhousing with Dad-all boy!  You love to be around Cole and I do not think you have had a jealous moment since his birth.  What an awesome big brother you are.  You were an ideal baby-sleeping through the night at 8 weeks, smiling all the time, a great eater, and hardly ever crying.  Then you amazed us by being an incredibly easy, though incredibly ornery toddler.  You practically potty-trained yourself (3 days), and moved to a big-boy bed with such grace just days after your 2nd birthday.
Your favorite question now is “What do you wanna play” I think Dad and I must hear that 100 times a day.  Your favorite thing to play is cars, and you have a real talent for all things electronic, whether it be remote-controlled vehicles, driving you Power Wheels vehicles, or playing video games on the Wii or XBox Kinect.
I marvel at your little hands and feet.  Starting out so tiny, just 4 ½ years ago, and now I have to come to terms with my baby going to kindergarten in just a few short months.  You have recently gotten interested in trying to read, and like to tell us what letter things start with. You are starting to try to sound out words, and I am so excited for the day you can read to me.
