Well, another week has flown by, and here I am behind on posting.

Cole dropped the bottle from his bedtime routine this past weekend.  Needless to say, I am a very proud Mom-only went a month over when I said we would get rid of it by.  He had no trouble at all with losing the bottle and is only getting up a measly 15 minutes earlier in the morning (this is a really long 15 minutes on the days your father has to get up with you).   I have now put away all of the "baby" items-bottles, bottle warmer, Boppy, baby bath, etc.  It is almost starting to look like adults live here with the two of you.

Jackson and Cole went out to my parents house this evening during my Junior League meeting, and on the way home, Cole tried to fall asleep.  To keep him awake, we started singing songs.  ABC's, Twinkle, twinkle, etc.  To spice things up a bit, (and keep it interesting for Jackson), I was singing the songs with a lot of incorrect words- Twinkle, Twinkle little -cloud, sun, tree, and so on.  Baa, Baa -yellow, purple, white, striped, polka-dotted- sheep-you get the idea.  Jackson thought this was absolutely hilarious, laughing and telling me I was singing it wrong, and it worked keeping Cole awake for a little while, but he eventually drifted off about 2 miles from home.

Now, the boys are in bed, TJ is out of town, and I should really get on the treadmill, but the motivation is just not there.  Oh, well, maybe tomorrow-or maybe not!  I will probably lay in bed and read.I have only run once since my half-marathon. I think I was kind of burned out from training.

Tomorrow is Amanda Heeren's birthday, and it makes me think of all the birthdays I got to celebrate with her at UMKC.  College is such an amazing time, and I am such a lucky person to have found such an amazing friend on my very first day at college.  You boys will forge lots of friendships in your lives, but none so amazing as those friends you find when you aren't even looking.  Happy birthday, Amanda!! I love you and I always will.

Boys, I love you, you are my Heart!
