One week left of Summer

Jackson's countdown continues. 7 days until kindergarten.
Supplies - check
Best kindergarten teacher - check
Nervous Mom - check
Excited 5 year old - wait, I knew we were missing something.

Jax has yet to be excited about kindergarten. I think he somehow knows this is the beginning of the end.
Reading, writing, and sitting quietly and my little boy certainly do not mesh well.
Lord, give us patience and strength!

Jacksonism of the evening:
Jackson: "where's Dad going?"
Me: "to the golf course"
Jackson: "That's where he always goes"
Me: "I know, he probably already played 18 today"
Jackson: "I know, doesn't he live there?"
LOL!

I asked Jax what he wanted to be tonight at bedtime, and he said "like what?", so I gave him some ideas, "Doctor lawyer, firefighter".... His response, "I want to be a Dad".  Best answer ever.

Thing I want to remember that I love about Cole at this age- his squishy forehead.  They outgrow it. So sad.
