Warrior Dash and KC pics

Last weekend was SUPER busy.
On Saturday afternoon, I (along with Ryan and some other friends) ran the Warrior Dash in Kansas City.  It is  a 5k trail race with numerous obstacles, the last of which is crawling through a mud pit underneath barbed wire.  It was a lot of fun, but rather grueling and hot-lots of hills and mud and about 100 degrees, with a 117 degree heat index at some points on the course. I finished 34th out of 709 women in my age group.

On Sunday morning, we went to church, ate lunch, etc.  That afternoon, Jax and Cole had pictures with Lissy Early in KC on the Plaza.  My mom went with us to help corral kids.  Cole took a short nap on the way down there, and then traveled like a dream all the way home.  Again, it was super hot, but the boys did great, and the pictures are wonderful.  We picked up DQ back in St. Joe for a special treat.

Yesterday and Today, more trips to the park and pool-the heat index today was 118, with actual temp of 108.  By Thursday, the high is supposed to be only 86.  I think I will need a sweater.

Tomorrow, Jackson and I are going to go school supply shopping.
He starts kindergarten 2 weeks from today.
Unbelievable!

Cole tried out a new word today. Dirt!
He is about to get his sixth tooth.
He likes to go underwater at the pool.
He is now tall enough to open all the doors in our house.

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.”
